Yeah I think I like OBAA a bit more but they're both brilliant for different reasons and I can see why someone would prefer Eddington. I want to watch both again soon.
still need to see OBAA but I liked Eddington a lot. I still have a lot of movies this year to catch up on and there are even more to come for awards season. we'll see if this makes my list!
eddington is third for me with weapons between the two marty supreme, train dreams, blue moon, sentimental value, the mastermind, jay kelly, bugonia, no other choice, hamnet, anne lee, is this thing on and avatar 3 are all on the watchlist as contenders for me but that's about it
marty supreme has me real hyped. that and blue heron are the two I’m most looking forward to. the mastermind, too, but I’m not letting myself watch that until i finally get around to showing up! I think OBAA is number one for me, with eddington as number two. eddington might prove to have more longevity for me, idk, but i think OBAA gets the edge because it’s depressingly topical and fun, and it also feels half its length which I can’t say about eddington
1 (with a bullet). OBAA 2. If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You 3. Sinners 4. Bugonia 5. Highest to Lowest 6. Black Bag 7. Weapons 8. Mission Impossible 9. The Naked Gun 10. This?? Maybe?
Avatar is easily one of my most anticipated for the rest of the year, The Way of Water was incredible.
Never seen em, can never get to a theater and I really only want to watch them in a theater, so idk if I ever will.
1. Resurrection 2. Train Dreams 3. Hamnet 4. Eddington 5. Sorry Baby 6. Christy 7. Dead Man’s Wire 8. Jay Kelly 9. The Mastermind 10. Is This Thing On? I absolutely expect this to change. Still need to see OBAA, Sirat, Bugonia, Arco, Eternity, Silent Friend, Sound of Falling, It Was Just an Accident, Little Amelie or the Character of Rain, Memory of Princess Mumbi, Sentimental Value, and Testament of Ann Lee
I think the anger and rot at the center of this film is what keeps me thinking about it. The world gets worse and worse every single day in horrifyingly new ways and everything is terrible. I don't think I ever want to see this again, but I will probably rewatch OBAA soon.
I'm sad I have to wait to watch this when I know it's just a click away. Heard all sorts of things that have me so amped but I still don't really know what to expect.
