I’ve been bummed that I missed Beau in theaters that I still haven’t watched it

 

i didn't care much for BIA but there were things i admired and i'm open to the possibility that i missed something (or things) down the line

 

Here for another perfect film.

 

BIA is amazing, my favorite of his

 

I believe time will be very kind to Beau is Afraid. I don't think everything works, but I respect that he went out and made something wholly unique, his own, and totally batshit.

That being said, it's not a movie I can recommend to anyone without caveating: "If you end up saying this is the worst movie you've ever seen, I totally get that too."

 

It's very much an indulgent, personal, and as you said, wholly unique project from a brilliant director. I appreciate it the first time I saw it, but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I saw it again. Then I loved it.
