Awesome! I'm not as big on them as some others in their genre, but I think they have the potential to do some really cool things.
Just feels like they're really... pandering maybe? Uninspired is another word that comes to mind. The videos have been weak as well. I try to not to hate too much, and I think they're a promising band, just not about this stuff.
The writing was on the wall with this though, IMO. They were going in this direction and it was fairly obvious.
Hard to say that an album that had "Cool Kids" on it went MORE mainstream, but it sounds less like a discount Paramore and more like a synth pop group. I still like the first single even if this new one doesn't do as much.
This is true, though I had (perhaps foolishly) hoped all the time they took was to really craft something unique and good. Perhaps they have, these songs may just not be for me.
Wow that is extremely interesting. I gotta say, it sounds like the band and/or label isn't quite happy with the reception/success of the lead singles. I do feel bad, but it gives hope that whatever is next might better than these singles
Seems like a wise decision. Maybe my initial hopes and expectations of the record will be met now. Really want good things for/from them.
Makes sense, hard to be happy with a very lukewarm response. To be fair though the stuff they have released so far has been really mediocre.
