As the guy above said, you wouldn't miss anything. Since you've only watched the first episode I'm not sure if you're aware, but it's an anthology show. Meaning each episode is a completely standalone story with new characters. From what I've read about the show there are one or two episodes that revisit characters from earlier ones, but episode 4 is its own thing.
watched the first episode of this last night with my roommate and my partner. is it just me or did the end of that episode feel particularly rape-y? I enjoyed the beginning of the episode, but that was off-putting to me. not sure if I'll continue watching.
I'm from South America and lived in Boston with my girlfriend for two years, and I can tell you it was almost scary how accurately they depicted the dynamics of a Latin American couple living in the states and having friends from back home crashing in their apartment. Made me go back to so many moments. I think it's my favorite thing from this show. Fortunately my girlfriend never pulled that on me.

Nice, didn't even raelize it was renewed. Glad to see a lot of of those returning names and some great new additions.
Season 2 filmed outside my apartment. If you see a cafe called Baker Miller or Budlong Chicken used as locations, that's my 'hood!
I won tickets to attend a Joe Swanberg talk/Q&A tonight at Dovetail Brewery. They're supposed to show a preview of season two. Will report back!
Went to the Joe Swanberg talk. SPOILERS BELOW................ He showed a 3 minute scene: MORE MARON. Joe confirmed some characters would be returning in season two.
