Haha shows how much attention I pay. Googled some guy the other day that I kept seeing on here, turns out he was the lead singer of Something Corporate and had loads of solo stuff. Hadn't heard of them since about 2003! I used to be so clued up on most music, what happened to me
I absolutely had burned CD in middle school with "some rap songs" written in sharpie. I probably had a vol. 2 as well.
Right after I keep talking about this for a little bit I live in a really small town, and since probably the start of summer I've heard a few people talking about them irl/online. I play them at the bar I work at whenever I can and they've only been recognized a few times but a bunch of people are like "This is dope"
I guess when it’s not music you listen to, you’re not gonna know. I get my music recs from Spotify/Last.fm’s similar artist tabs. I don’t listen to the radio. Don’t hear songs in shops as I always have headphones in. Social media is tuned to what you want to see, so I hardly see stuff like them on there. This place is the only place I see them mentioned. I think this is a me getting old thing though as I felt similar about 6 months back when I heard of Dua Lipa. Someone mentioned her, I had no idea who she was. Looked her up and saw she was a big name. Was so confused. Anyway. Yeah. I’ll shut up now. Earls album is going to be the shit.
I'm only listening to each single once before the album comes out but the new one definitely made a stronger first impression on me. Very happy this album is finally coming out
these tracks are damn near impenetrable and I’m here for it. The groove on nowhere2go is stellar once you figure out where it is Also Hive remains one of the best songs ever
I don't know if there's a list, but if an artist is in the top 500 it lists their position on their page
This album is only 25 minutes long... each song is barely over 1 minute in length. Not sure how to feel about that
