Take arms, it'll all blow over Prestigious

Bit the bullet and double dipped on The Killer, Hard Boiled and The Dollars Trilogy through Diabolik, also went ahead and got GI Samurai.

It’s about to be an Arrow summer with that order and that Jackie Chan Box Set and Audition

Hard Boiled looked great in the new 4K transfer, should have The Killer on release tomorrow.

Also getting Soylent Green and To Live and Die in L.A. over here in the UK on 4K, plus The Outfit and another pair of Japanese crime films on Blu-ray that will sit nicely alongside the Wandering Ginza Butterfly collection they released a few weeks back.

This is being released on 29 June by Treasured Films, and I can't wait, given it is one of my favourite 1950s Sci-Fi films.

I haven't really been following this much, but are there other updates/changes to the films at all aside from them not being two films, but one?

few notable changes include restoring the Crazy 88 fight back to color (recolored to B&W in the US to avoid a NC-17 rating at the time, although it looked pretty tame when we saw it in theaters), an extended version of the anime sequence with newly-completed footage, the omission of the bit at the end of Vol 1 that revealed that her daughter is alive, a handful of additional/alternate shots, and a 3 minute intermission (at least on the digital version and one of the discs, the theatrical intermission was 15). aside from the removal of the intro bit where she's driving and talking to the camera, everything from Vol. 2 is generally unchanged.

it's personal preference at this point, but i thought it flowed nicely as a single film. set looks great, so i preordered.
