shared this over in the A24 thread, but an X trilogy collector's boxset is being released tomorrow on the A24 online shop!

 

I had read around the time that Maxxxine was originally released on blu/4K that A24 was doing a set. I'm glad I held off.

 

i hope weapons doesnt run into the same problems barbarian did

 

Weapons is already slated for a blu/4K release pretty soon. I believe pre-orders are up already.

 

It is, Steelbook is long sold out though iirc

 

Sucks we can’t get a physical release for Barbarian though. Cregger said that he tried to push for one but the other side wouldn’t cooperate on it basically.

They should rerelease Barbarian and go hard on “From the Writer/Director of Weapons”

and then pre-ordered Hard Boiled and the A Better Tomorrow trilogy through Atomic Movie Store (because I've been hearing good things), my wallet can rest easy until the next Criterion sale.

new steelies today (28YL got kinda fucked in transit and is a broken case lol but oh well)

 

i've recently learned steelbook collectors (mostly on Reddit) order two copies at once in case one's damaged, which is pretty ridiculous. but i guess it's also ridiculous vendors can't package a disc to prevent damage.
