Guess I can finally retire my Day Blu from so many years ago, don’t really wanna give Shout my money but when it comes out, I guess I’ll make one exception
The print was assumed lost right? it’ll be nice to have the original trilogy complete in 4K; funny that it’ll be from three different labels (still sucks that one dude is sitting on the rights for the US release of Dawn but at least that Second Sight set is sick)
Correct, it was the main reason why Shout didn’t reissue a 4K of the movie before and it’s a major win not just for them but for movie preservation in general.
I'm going to be downsizing my collection a bit if anyone is interested in me posting them in here before I take them elsewhere. If not you can gladly tell me to fuck off
probably couldn't grab anything for a while, but curious to see what you'd be interested in parting with
three shows i really really wish i had physical copies of because i cant stream them anywhere anymore
Weapons being in theaters now reminds me that Barbarian is still not available on physical media in any capacity and that bums me out more than anything. That and Theater Camp from 2023 are some at the top of my list on my want list for someone to pick up.
@irthesteve works for Shout right? How much money can I pay you for them to license/release more Kamen Rider and more current Sentai seasons on bluray ;)
Cregger said on The Big Picture Podcast that he’s been doing all that he can and hasn’t made much headway. Hopefully with this being a success, it will happen.
He may have talked about it on that podcast but wasn’t barbarian partially financed by some random Eastern European country
Major bummer. I had a feeling the market wouldn’t be too big for them but I was optimistic they at least sold somewhat well. Guess I just have to buy them all up so they do well haha
