Sony is putting out a Body Double 4K!!! Let's go, I already have the indicator blu but I'm gonna have to grab this, also helps that Sony tends to put out the best UHD releases of the major studios
I'd typically say Arrow is my favorite of the boutique labels, but boy the art-work for their Chucky collection is god-awful! Also, getting it's a Universal thing but they don't have the first in 4k, so not sure what we're even doing here. Very glad I got the Shout! versions.
JFK 4K real Shout announced a motherlode today, I'll probably have to get JFK, Clue and The Dead Zone (another one where I'll have to give the old blu to a friend)
Can you confirm or deny the existence of bonus features on the upcoming Weird: The Al Yankovic Story release?
I already have the Umbrella version of Weird Al, but it's good to know it's getting an official release stateside. Outside of this last batch of movies, can't say too much is catching my eye for the rest of the year from the boutique labels. I just wish Kino would say something about Face/Off
I haven’t bought a Blu-ray since the Friday the 13th collection from shout in 2020. I usually only buy physical copies of movies if it’s a special set
I'm trying to slow down my buying (I'm already well out of shelf-space so I have piles everywhere), but from like the Winter of '21 to Spring of this year I was buying anything I had a remote interest in, so I've got a good few years of backlog in just physical stuff. I was watching movies at a pace of at least two a day before I got back into gaming again so that isn't helping my backlog either lol
I'm not sure how they do it, but Sony puts out some of the most ridiculous 4Ks I've seen. Watching I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and this looks just as awesome as what they did for the first one, what a gorgeous transfer.
Do we know why there has never been so much as a rumor of at least the first Nightmare on Elm Street getting a 4K release? Kinda wild how well horror is treated across 4K and we don't have one of the most iconic movies in the genre. I have the Blu-ray boxset and that thing sucks lol, 2 Movies splitting 50GB discs for the whole series.
Anyone spotted any good deals this week as the holidays approach? Top Gun: Maverick on 4K and Across the Spider-verse were easy picks for me, and I've got my eye on the Blu-ray treatment of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I'll be curious to see what discounts Walmart and Best Buy offer, especially with the latter said to be phasing out physical movie sales after the end of this year.
