For anyone who's received the vinyl, does it come with a download card? Trying to decide what version to go for.
Really digging this. Agree that Westen Skies is an initial standout, but The Heart of Sedona is really clicking on my second run-through
I absolutely love this. Liked it on my first listen but was absolutely floored by it on my second. The beginning is great, but that run of Western Skies through Desert Dreaming is just perfect.
I love it, even if it's not that much of my style, but I've been getting more and more into music like this, and it definitely helps to have Dustin sing. There's one song that really has got verses very similar to "It's Not Enough", which used to be my favorite Dustin's solo track (the name of the new one escapes me now, I've only listened twice). Great, consistent vibe overall, singles with the back end, and that artwork, nicely done.
I feel like this is gonna be an album I default to listening to when I don't know what I wanna listen to. Just has nice, laid back atmosphere.
I like this more than I thought I would. Country just isn’t my thing. But Dustin is Dustin, and this just has that certain something that draws me to his work. EDIT: Western Skies, man. That’s just Dustin through and through.
Anyone who likes this album, or Please Come Home, I'd highly suggest checking out Zach Bryan. I find his style to be something that fans would be into, lots of vocal and musical similarities
i was going to say its funny i just got into zach bryan recently and then this album comes along. which is probably why im feeling this.
This isn't my usual cup of tea either, but damn tracks like "Western Skies", "High Scalers", "Treasure in the West", "The Heart of Sedona", and "Desert Dreaming" are so fantastic. All of these songs paint such a nice picture with their music and lyrics, I find myself with vivid images for each song, in love with this right now.
This further confirms that Dustin could sing the dictionary and I'd happily sway along and smile to it. Western Skies is such a gorgeous song.
Even as a big Dustin/Thrice fan, I’m genuinely surprised how much I like this. My first impression of the single was that it was not for me. But now I’m country as hell; yup I’m a cowboy if you couldn’t tell.
