I just want to see him show that he can really rein it in beyond what we saw in Dunkirk. Regardless, I'm looking forward to what's probably another fantastic movie, however that manifests in itself is okay with me

Sci-fi romantic thriller? He's remaking The Lake House.

This is already going to be awesome on those two alone. I also really like he’s shaking up his usual stars.

Man between this, knives Out, and Dune the casting lately has been off the fucking charts.

My six month prediction was generous. I finally watched this last night (two years later). Nolan has been my absolute favorite director for the past 13 years (Memento is my all-time favorite and Prestige is in my top 5) so it killed me to have to wait so long to see this.

Generally, I'm not a big 'war movie' guy and I barely go to the movies anymore (unless we're taking the kids to a kids movie) so I DVR'd this on HBO like a year ago and finally got around to watching it (as I catch up on 30 different movies from the past few years).

I really liked it. I actually think this film benefited from the little dialogue and the lack of character development. To me, it made it much more intense and unsettling. Like, I had a pit in my stomach the entire film trying to kind of guess what would happen next because nobody was really talking about anything and it was so quiet.

I remember when this film was announced I was a bit bummed to find out Nolan was tackling a real-life historic event because I thought he'd lose that ability to put his own creative touch/spin into the storytelling/reveals that he puts on everything, but the way he intertwined the three different stories at once was really really great.

Hopefully I don't have to wait as long to see Tenet once it's released.

I still maintain that Nolan is a technically great director but he sucks at narratives, this movie being a key example
