I wish I had one of those dope 70mm showings anywhere around me.

I've never been fortunate enough to see a 65 mm or 70 mm release.

The only 70mm film I've seen was the Hateful Eight, which had an overture, intermission, etc. it was beautiful

Getting real pumped to see this tonight after work in IMAX. And only 5 minutes away from my work!

Closest place to me with 70mm is Vegas....which is 6 hours away. I drove 12 hours to see TDKR prologue on real IMAX so it wouldn't be the first time I've made a trip for Chris Nolan...

USA Today: The trio of timelines can be jarring as you figure out how they all fit, and the fact that there are only a couple of women and no lead actors of color may rub some the wrong way. Still, Nolan’s feat is undeniable: He’s made an immersive war movie that celebrates the good of mankind while also making it clear that no victory is without sacrifice.

Since Dunkirk is historically about a few hundred thousand white British soldiers and countrymen, why would this rub people the wrong way?! Do they want it to be LESS accurate for the sake of diversity?

It was one of the more ridiculous things I've done. Now that I'm older and married I doubt I'll be driving 6 hours to Vegas just for a movie

Fine... I'll drive to stupid LA to watch it in stupid IMAX.

  18. This was good but nowhere near some of his other work. Idk. Maybe knowing what happens lessened the ending for me, so who knows. Still great stuff and different from any war movie I've seen, that's for sure. It's a thrill and you feel like you're a part of the movie trying to survive.

Enjoyed this. The pace basically doesn't stop throughout the whole thing. I felt like my heart was beating pretty fast for the whole runtime.

    A. Who cares, choose actors of color and let it be "LESS accurate"
    B. Stop making movies about only white dudes under the guise of being historic

Almost as dumb as continuing the idea that black people discovered Europe in the 60's.
