I mean, I know this, but you're right that you can't replicate it in a film form, so I'm just suggesting a relatively possible substitute.

 

GOOD

 

For the “Game Night” fans, there’s a scene that definitely feels like an evolution of the egg chase scene from that that had me smiling at the ambition of it.

 

my and my friends have had a game of D&D going on & off for about 6-7 years now and are trying to plan a night where we all go see this together. gonna be fun!

 

I'm up to nearly 4 years with my campaign. 7 years is insane, big respect lmao

 

we only play one night every few months to be fair. i'll have to check how many campaigns we've gone through

 

we're getting to that point too unfortunately because of life stuff. bummer but it is what it is

I thought you meant one campaign over 7 years haha, that makes more sense

 

My D&D crew and I are going Saturday afternoon. Stoked!

 

This was solid. Pine was great. A fun time.

 

Great movie. Really enjoyed it and thought the cast was fantastic.

 

Very much enjoyed this. It was great to see a mix of the elements that make for good fantasy stories and good D&D experiences, which don't always neatly overlap. I thought it did both very well. Surprisingly emotional character arcs too that I really resonated with.

 

I’ve never played D&D, always wanted to, I’m familiar with the lore enough to have picked up on a lot of references.

As a huge JRPG fan, it felt like what I always imagined a great JRPG type film would be like.

 

I tried to play over Zoom with friends during COVID but just didn’t have the attention span for it. I’m sure it’s a blast.

 

My only really complaint was the insane shaky camera in a very short shot when Pine is running home after seeing the red wizards. That shot was TRASH.

 

This was fantastic. I’d really like to see more. Hopefully this gets a sequel

 

they accidentally showed the Transformers trailer twice before this so automatic a+ cinematic experience

this was fun and for the most part avoided being too jokey, I thought the Jarnathan bit was gonna last forever but it had the perfect setup, and solidified that I can never play d&d because I would get too confused about lore
I love that Hugh Grant keeps playing villains and hope he'll find someone more beloved than Paddington and Chris Pine good luck
only flaw is needed more of Doric's Animorph powers because that was the coolest thing I've ever seen

 

This was surprisingly great. Pine is just charming as fuck. It was actually funny at times and not like shitty MCU humor.

 

Odd because the humor reminded me very much of Guardians of the Galaxy.

 

But that’s one of the good MCU movies

 

Yeah this was fun

 

Oh, can’t believe nobody has mentioned it. How about that cameo? Glad I didn’t know it going in.
