I paused my first rewatch about halfway in. Lots of moments I didn’t catch or see the foreshadowing now. When the freman mock Paul about Jessica “drinking worm piss” I didn’t remember that part. Also Jessica to Paul after seeing he’s in love with Chani “we must reserve your hand for alliances”. Totally missed that too

 

I rewatched Dune like a couple weeks before seeing the second and I don't remember that second part either.

 

I think I kind of prefer Part One more? Not entirely sure why (maybe its the world building in the first one), but I think that's my feelings

 

Me too. Part 2 has incredible highs but overall something about Part 1 just feels better structured, well-crafted and very rewatchable

I’m gonna watch part 2 tonight but I might agree about liking the first one more.


I will say I think I might have over hyped the newest one unfairly.

 

2 deviates from the book in ways I didn’t really care for.

I get it. I use to be that way too but now that I can separate the two, I find adaptations more enjoyable.
