Having rewatched Part 1, the last line of the film being "This is only the beginning" is so hilariously on the nose.
We're looking at his comments from an absurdist late night comedy show and then calling him the worst? Sure why not. Also it's pretty clear he didn't watch it. There's a scene where they couldn't punch the sand and had to relocate, implying something unique about the geography of arrakis. And sand "worm" is a colloquialism, the movie never discusses the anatomy of the worm, can't discuss it's movement. Let's just watch trump hulud
didn't feel like he abandoned the fremen but he rapidly shifted into making the emperor the enemy not the harkkonens which seems like a selfish decision and comes off as such. I liked it that way, shows a flaw in paul. The fremen are still dedicated to him and he's fully embraced his position as their leader. Also the chani Paul dynamic is different in the book, she sticks with him because she knows that despite his proposal to irulan, it's all tactical not emotional. But the movie ending is far more dramatic.
Looking at a history of sucking the fun out of anything fictional while radiating "I am the smartest guy in the room" energy and then calling him the worst? Absolutely. You clearly don't know, but this is far from the first time he's done this.
You're the one coming off insecure here, honestly. It's totally okay to criticize people for being obnxious, no matter who they are. I promise you do not have to defend that kind of behavior.
I checked this thread the other day and it was memes. I check it this morning and it’s… this? Anyways. I have one of my colds I get a few times a year when the weather is all over the place, but I think I’m gonna finally see Dune Too after work tonight.
Damn I didn’t even know about the multiple sexual misconduct allegations against NDT until now. Yeah he can fuck all the way off.
