Dune: Part Two review: Visually ravishing blockbuster storytelling

 

Erlich has wild takes that I often disagree with but he's a good critic

 

god i forgot how good part one is

 

Yeah just watched part one last night in preparation of tomorrow. it has such a confident flair, and there's a lot of fraiser's cinematography that's very "arthouse", more so than I remembered. Luckily I was able to pause it 5 times so I could explain to my friend everything that was going on, so much information in such a small amount of time lol

it's incredible, close to perfect. if part two improves on it, we're in for an all-timer.

 

Bummed that there is zero IMAX's in Michigan running the "full" IMAX version, going to have to just do the digital.

Doing the back to back Part One and Two screenings on IMAX on Tuesday - ready to spend 6 hours straight in the theater, haha

 

Busy all next weekend so gonna see this Sunday afternoon at Alamo babyyyyy

 

I was too late to get a decent seat for an early showing, so I’m seeing this at 3pm on Thursday. I’ll be watching part one that morning in preparation

 

Planning on rewatching Dune tonight and then part 2 on Saturday evening. Hyped!

 

Now the question is, what popcorn vessel to choose...
