I think it would take a massive loss on VOD because it will leak faster. Audiences will want to watch a movie like this in theaters. I'm really hoping we get that chance.
Looked up what’s coming out around it... A Spielberg West Side Story, a live action/animated Tom & Jerry, & Coming 2 America? Huh.
Tom and Jerry (2020 film) - Wikipedia Directed by Tim Story, starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Ken Jeong, and Rob Delaney. So random, lol.
Denis said in a statement recently that the film was meant to be seen in theaters so I think he’s probably going to fight as hard as he can to make sure it doesn’t debut on VOD.
Behold Dune: A New Look at Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and More Damn they got the stillsuits wrong again. At least they’re not black this time though.
Yeah I always envisioned them as like a film-like mask that covers their face, but I gather that it’s be tough to convey that
Hell yes, love that man. He can definitely present a cool deceptive warmth to him some of the shots look a little “battlestar galactic-y” and wish arrakis looked more vibrant but still not the finished product
The book describes them as covering pretty much every inch of skin except the eyes, doesn’t it? The whole point is to collect ALL the moisture leaving the body, so why would the head be left completely exposed?
The movie is probably going to be great, it’s just a logical nitpick about the stillsuits that was a common criticism of the Lynch film as well, so I figured it would be addressed here. Always the possibility that the studio didn’t want all of its expensive stars to have their faces covered for large portions of the movie as well.
This is exactly what I assumed. Other than the exposed faces, the suits look pretty much like I imagined.
I know everyone hates the discourse™, but while I'm looking forward to this movie... ...friendly reminder that, yeah, this is a thing worth acknowledging.
They really should've cast a MENA actor as Stilgar at least. Javier Bardem is a great actor but there's no reason he should be in that role.
It also looks like the Fremen eyes aren't blue on blue, but it's also hard to tell for sure from these photos.
devil’s advocate, but he’s from the Canary Islands, which, while a part of Spain, are actually off the coast of Morocco but, yes, more representation would be preferred.
