This made me google to see what the emperor was supposed to look like and someone on Reddit apparently wanted Kristifer Hivju to play him haha
Yeah I just finished reading Dune the day before this casting was announced, and Christopher Walken does not line up with the description of the character in the book, to say the least. I pictured someone like Sean Harris.
Knowing Denis has final say, and how much of a Dune nerd he is, I trust in his vision/decision-making, haha
Yeah Denis was obviously very much correct with pretty much every decision he made in the first one, which including changing around how a few key characters are portrayed in the book, so I trust his vision.
Honestly makes much more sense to me that the emperor is an old man. Get Anya Taylor Joy for his daughter though.
