I feel like I’ve seen equal amounts of “it’s too slow, all world building” and “it’s too fast, like a montage of events” and that’s funny.

I’m personally in the “too fast” category. Wish we had more time to develop some of these characters.

 

I just wanted more Isaac

 

I'm a sucker for world building and lore tho

 

The book ends on kind of a weird note. Wondering if part 2 will be as loyal an adaptation as part 1

 

the book ends like it just runs out of pages lol

 

I really loved, after feeling like its been so absent from blockbusters for awhile, the slow pacing and patience in world-building.

 

As a newcomer to the property that was wary because we now live in Franchise World, I thought the pacing was near-perfect here, felt very thoughtful and deliberate

My friend saw the poster and thought Javier Bardem was Paul Giamatti.

 

Just watched it a second time. It’s still good.

 

I was pretty underwhelmed with this compared to 2049. Maybe it was bc that movie was much darker, but I thought the visuals in this were a lot less impressive.

 

this is plenty pretty but yeah i agree if i had to compare them

 

Damn, this looks gorgeous lol two completely different settings so I don't know why we'd even compare

 

about ~24 hours left to stream

 

we all just want more Isaac

 

I think if we'd gotten to see any more of Isaac it would've been rated R

I guess his love life is barren

 

watched again last night, think i was more engaged this time despite not being in the theaters. hope the near future can have more chances to see this in imax
