Yeah I was in a theater with recliners for the first time last week for army of the dead and it was certainly the most comfortable theater seat I’ve ever been in but I never felt remotely sleepy lol. Maybe if i had a beer it would be different?
same I mean technically I could not just use my other devices while watching a movie but I know that's not gonna happen haha
we already know tetra only drinks appletini's and long island iced teas. i don't want to hear his beer rant ever again.
I can only assume people are over exaggerating about their complaints about theaters. People make it sound like the floor of the stock market with all the talking and noise that goes on in theaters.
I’d say it’s dependent on the theater/location. I’ve been to theaters where groups of people will just openly have conversations and look at their phone the whole time to the point where I can’t focus on the movie at all, and other theaters where it’s dead silent. Unfortunately it’s like 50/50 for me lol
The only good experience I had at a theater was when Bane breaks Batman's back in half and a man yelled "that's gotta hurt!"
Movie theaters have definitely changed for the worse over time. I had the AMC subscription for awhile, but almost half of the time the people around it ruined the experience for me. People texting, talking to their friends like they are at home, and overall just being jackasses ruined it for me. The worst being horror movies since people love to yell, shout about what characters should do and make spectacles of themselves. The only good experiences I had are when the theater was mostly empty or movies that attracted an older audience.
that seems to be a regular AMC experience. idk what it is but the regal’s seem to have more regulars that seem to know how to behave themselves i try to go to the local one we have that rips off alamo draft house though
People get too comfortable at these leather chair full dinner theaters. Need a theater that’s just uncomfortable chairs and way too cold air conditioning
Seeing the big blockbusters with a fun crowd is the reason I’ll go see half of the big blockbusters. I’ve really only had a couple of bad crowd experiences.
I’ve been lucky enough to not have many bad theater experiences. I think the last time I had a bad one was when I saw Wind River back in 2017 and some asshole was loudly commenting on everything that happened in the movie constantly. But other than that my experiences have been fine. I love going to the movies. To be fair though, I go to see matinees as often as I can. I only see movies after noon when I’m going to a Thursday night premiere or something.
