Yeah I’d probably say Samuel L. Jackson is the most famous/successful actor they’ve had considering he’s the highest-grossing actor of all time by box office.
A lot of the biggest names have always been the side characters/villains. Gwenyth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Angela Bassett, Robert Redford, and of course Seth Green
The highest-grossing actors list is funny because it just comes down to whether or not you have been in The Avengers or Star Wars. The old movie star system mostly collapsed, and the studios are much happier for it. They want to sell The Brand™ rather than movie stars. Not only is it cheaper, it is much easier to manage in the event a star makes insane demands or is mired in scandals. Other than The Rock, the newer generation doesn't really have stars that are used to sell movies in the same way.
Wonder when we'll get a resolution to this WB/Legendary lawsuit (I assume there is one); will probably be several weeks before we hear anything definitive.
Yeah this definitely doesn't have anything to do with them getting dragged by literally everyone in Hollywood, including their own director, over it
If that happens America is going to pirate the shit out of it and its eventual box office numbers will probably suffer
To think, the finished copy of this is just sitting on a drive somewhere, waiting to come out......guhhhh, September is too far away!!
