DuckTales (Disney XD, 2017) TV Show

"DuckTales has a special place in Disney's TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks' comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults," Marc Buhaj, senior vice president of programming and the general manager of Disney XD, said in a statement when the show was announced. "Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation."

 

I have to think it'll be garbage.

 

I love the animation style and that they are including Donald like in the comics. I wonder if they will bring in Launchpod, Gizmoduck and other characters from the old series...

Well I guess I need to figure out if we get Disney XD.

 

That cast is excellent, will absolutely check this out.

 

I've done a complete 180 on this, now I'm excited.

 

The Looney Tunes Show was awesome. Stuff like this can definitely have its own identity while still retaining the charm of the original

Just finished watching Episode 1, which aired today. This was actually really great! Can't wait to watch more.

the voice cast in this is so stellar

 

This was absolutely delightful! Might have to watch this week to week

 

So the kid's voices annoyed me and it seemed to do what every kids show has to do these days and always have something happening or being said. Even with those complaints, I love all the easter eggs and it was so cool to see all these characters back.

I wish Donald was easier to understand lol.

 

He needs subtitles (which would actually be a really funny touch)

Both of the new episodes were great. I'm glad it's going to be on weekly now. I need to dive more into the easter eggs that were in the new ones.

 

If I have no nostalgia for the old series, would I still like this?

 

Yeah

 

it's kinda Gravity Falls-esque, if you were ever into that show.
