I think I was excited because she seemed so enthusiastic and the actual album is so good... however, listening to that reminded me that I don’t actually enjoy remixes very often.

 

Yeah, this is the kind of remix I don’t really like. It kind of takes all the character out of the song. And I legit thought that Madonna in her continuing madness just rebranded as the Blessed Madonna. No idea it was completely different person.

Maybe this wasn't for me in the first place because I'm not fan of this kind of these type of dance remixes, but I'm way less excited by this tracklist.

 

I'm interested in Mark Ronson remix w/ Gwen, but otherwise there's not a ton for me here either

 

Intrigued by That Kind of Woman - never heard the original but I love Stand Back so should be cool. Also excited for the Don't Start Now Yaeji remix, Physical with Gwen, and the other new one with Blessed Madonna.

The rest should at least be fun to listen through at least once though

Yeah, this is 100% not for me. But I can understand how dance fans will love it.

 

The highlights for me are both of each pretty please and break my heart remix, levitating, and the don't start now yaeji remix. The future nostalgia one was good too. It was a good time now i'm going to listen to Future Nostalgia (hold the club)

 

Definitely running through the remix album tomorrow

 

Listened to the handful I was most interested in (Jayda G, Yaeji, Mr. Fingers, Moodymann) and they all sounded great. This really feels like really dance-head stuff compared to most pop music remixes. I like the commitment to that with the mixed format, but I also wish we got these as standalone cause I feel like we’re missing out when some of them are coming in around 2 minutes or less.

 

Apparently a non-mixed version is coming next week but I’m not sure if that’s confirmed

 

The Paul Woolford remix of “Hallucinate” has gotten a ton of play from me

I don't like this or the fact the Madonna is going by The Blessed Madonna now.
