soo... I just came across a Future Nostalgia (Acoustic) EP... maybe it's out at midnight? Don't Start Now, Physical, Levitating, Love Again, Break My Heart, Boys Will Be Boys.

Listening now though... it sounds... weird, I am thinking someone might have taken the vocal tracks and added their own acoustic guitar? I don't know what I am listening to, this is weird

 

I stopped listening to it, it got worse

 

probably. other times she’s had “acoustic” versions it was the studio vocals with a random acoustic guitar haha

 

This seems to be a standard practice based on most “acoustic” version I’ve heard from major pop artists.

 

Yeah, that kind of stuff usually sucks, considering Dua sounded great singing on a computer mic for the talk shows.

 

So bizarre, never encountered that before

 

This album has some major BOPS.

 

The jockey on my area’s FM radio station just introduced her as Dua LUPA... freaking locals mannn... lol

 

my old co-worker called her Doopa Loopa recently and now that's what we always call her at work

 

Our local radio station started playing "Break My Heart." Feel like this could be a big hit. Also, didn't know the chorus was based on an INXS sample.

 

"Break My Heart" was made for this quarantine.

 

the video's racking up crazy views on YouTube as well, all it needs is a tiktok dance, if there isn't one yet

OK these things usually suck, but this one is pretty good. BUT could you imagine a Dua-only version of this? She sounds fucking great

I listened to this for the first time last night (or was it Friday night?) and this thing rules. It was just what happened to be next on my list of new albums to listen to and I didn’t really expect much from it - figured it would at least get an “ok” or a “like it” in my book but this is currently a “really liked it”. And with the great sunny weather this weekend this has been on rotation more than I expected.

 

Sia is so creatively bankrupt at this point. I miss her pre-1000 Forms of Fear days
