Anyone ever try running the beer mile? I debated putting this here vs. the beer thread, but I decided it better fit the mood of this thread. Edit: sorry for triple post
It's just a mile long run but after every quarter mile you chug a beer. First heard of it from The League, but it's a real thing
Yea, it's like a cruel version of an unexpected hide and seek where if you find them, you chug a disgusting amount of sugary alcohol.
Ugh same, which is why it's probably a bad idea for me right now. At least until I get in better shape, which hopefully will actually happen.
Yeah, I just need to do it more regularly. I can probably do about 5k, but it certainly doesn't feel good and my time is real bad.
Well I absolutely can't do a 5k haha. I'm doing the Couch To 5k program, hopefully it works. I've literally never ran more than a mile at one time in my life.
I always try to do about 2 miles every time I go out (which, if I'm lucky, is once a week -- there's my problem) and the idea is that once I get better at doing that then I'll expand, but I'm not good about running frequently enough to actually make progress. So every time it's like I'm starting over again.
Yeah, a mile isn't so far. I'll have to do it during summer though, as the school I go to is a dry campus -- can't just be chugging beers in broad daylight haha
For us it's more for fun and pretty much everyone ends up barfing even though the winner gets through without puking. That's just us though.
Spotify's new layout appeared for me during the time I had class time today (like two hours) so it was a little jarring for my ride home. I'll have to check it out more tomorrow to get a real feel for it.
Having the search feature at the bottom is fantastic, no more swiping to get to the side bar. Yeah, I'm lazy. What of it?
