Glad to hear that, I hope the answer is always decent+ (mostly +) at a minimum... and we can all use lazy days, especially after a night of drinking. I've been good. Work wasn't nearly as stressful this week, so that's a plus. Almost the weekend - get to go to a wedding solo on Saturday, so that should be fun? At this point in life, it almost feels like going to weddings are more of a nuisance than a fun night out. Or, I'm just getting too old.
Weddings stopped being fun after the first one. The only enjoyable wedding I've gone to recently was my best friend's. The rest are a chore.
I don't enjoy going to weddings at all. An open bar always helps and good food. Other than that? Just get it over with and let me go home.
Absolutely. I was the best man for my best friend's wedding a couple years ago, but besides that, I'm always trying to think of a legitimate excuse to skip. But then I realize I'd be a dick and go anyway. Oh well. It's a good thing I don't have too many friends and the majority of them are already married. Haha.
This is where I'm torn. Usually the weddings I go to are 2+ hours away, so I pretty much need to get a hotel and can have lots of drinks. But this one is only 30 mins away, so I thought I could be responsible for one night and limit myself so I could drive home. We'll see.
Don't think I'd have the attention span to get through that, I can barely get through hour church services
I've been to one wedding where I was the ring bear ("you're saying 'bearer', right? ") because I was like 8 and adorable
The only wedding I've been to was a gay Jewish wedding so I feel like my experience may be a little different from the norm there, haha. (Hi everyone!)
I went to one wedding that had to have cost $100K+ by my guestimation and it makes me sad that if I ever have my own wedding, it will be a JV version of this one... They had a full buffet of every nationalities food before you even went into the ballroom for the main "event". My favorite was an ice sculpture where you pour Three Olives vodka down this frozen swan into a cup for your drink. Highlight of my night... also had hot Sake, which I did not enjoy.
I still weep over the PB&J wedding episode. The (unforuntate) Chris Brown montage gets me every time.
Looooove hot sake. I think people who blue excessive cash on weddings are dumb. Just look at the stats people! 50% odds this fails, even higher rates in metro NY.
Yeah, it's really really good. Classic episodes. I like how they included several different weddings over the course of that show that each kinda filled its own role, if that makes any sense.
I gotta go with Dwight and Angela (does that still need a spoiler?), though some of the lead up to Phyllis' wedding like the Ben Franklin episode is really excellent.
This is a good one, mostly for the expected, kinda Michael Scott return. The Decemberists were in that one if I remember correctly?
I knew it was somehow related to Dwight's farm, just couldn't place them. I blame the alcohol and too many good moments from that series (besides the shitty stretch).
One of my friends asked me to be a bridesmaid..in fucking Jamaica. I declined. I can barely afford to be in a wedding in the states.
