I think it's more of a one-off single to help promote their upcoming tour. They've been hitting the road hard since Prude came out and usually Pat is pretty forthcoming on his podcasts when he's recording and has not mentioned anything about Drug Church. If anything, he has mentioned Self Defense Family recordings more than Drug Church.

 

To be fair to Pat, he's been mentioning that Self Defense Family has had new stuff coming since the pandemic, and other than releasing archive material, they've been quiet there.

RE new song: good shit, love it.

 

Pynch sounds huge. Seeing them on Saturday and I expect it to go off like gangbusters live.

 

3 new songs recorded. Will probably release them. Writing and recording after spring shows, so this summer. New album probably not until 2027.

Came out of mosh retirement last night during Myopic and then was reminded that I have asthma and am 33 and therefore immediately retired again.

 

I'm ready for more new music from these guys.

 

been listening to this record a lot lately. I think it's surpassed Cheer as my favorite DC album
