i also saw someone say the outcome of that episode could theoretically be framed around Brennan somehow winning first, second, and third place all at the same time, which i found kinda funny

not to spoil anything, but nothing will ever replicate what they did with the Bingo episode

  7. The Shakespeare episode of game changer is one of the most impressive things I’ve seen on dropout.

Yeah I wasn't sure about it when it started because of the Shakespeare of it all, but boy did they prove me wrong

tbh, it's one of my least-favorite episodes of Game Changer, but i should probably go back and revisit it. just kind of screams major theatre kid energy

rewatched it yesterday (i rewatch all 3 on a regular basis). love how insane the logic of the rules is in that one

I couldn't follow the Zam Says Sam Says back and forth his does at the end of that part, too deep!

  13. I find Zac to be the least funny every time he’s on

  16. Of the regulars Jacob Vic and Brennan are my favorite. Zac least favorite. But I think Ben Schwartz is my fav in improv so the few episodes he was on are the best for me.

Jacob and Vic are definitely elite, but everyone is so good

the only two performers that haven't really landed for me are Ross Bryant and Lisa Gilroy. i assume they're both very talented individuals for the types of comedy they do, but their styles only occasionally work for me from the brief glimpses i've seen of them.

Lisa's first episode of VIP as Vic's Ex-Step-Grandmother made me laugh incredibly hard, but her other two VIP episodes were hard to watch. i've also seen a few clips of her on Make Some Noise, and also her one appearance on Game Changer, but it's hard to gauge her comedic style based on either brief appearances on a show i haven't really watched, or an episode where her comedic stylings are intentionally limited.

Ross's episode of VIP with Rashawn is one of my favorites, and occasionally i'll come across a MSN clip of him that's pretty solid, but other times i think he just goes a bit too theater kid and it's just not really my speed.

have no complaints about the other talent. Zac is elite.

also finally caught up with VIP. Katya's episode last night was just as wild as i expected it to be. she and Vic made for a fun pairing, and she definitely embodied the weirdness of her character.

  20. Ross is top tier for me lol I always love when he’s on. What makes the lineup so good is it’s so diverse and there’s someone for everyone.

looks like they're filming a secret proof of concept for a new Dropout show in collaboration with The Black List in a few weeks in LA, co-hosted by Franklin Leonard (founder of The Black List) and Anna Garcia. attendees are required to sign NDAs. curious what kind of show this could be. i know they have a few new shows in development (supposedly including a travel show hosted by Jacob Wysocki), but this one sounds fairly intriguing if it has something to do with The Black List. based a bit off of the one challenge from OYL. i wanna say there's pics out there of them filming at least part of it at Universal Studios with him dressed like a Minion or something

my mistake, it was a Minions hat. but there are photos on Reddit from about two months of a sign at Universal Hollywood saying Dropout was filming there, in addition to photos of Jacob and Sam, so people suspect it's part of it. and i believe Sam said somewhere that they were toying with doing a full show based on that segment, with at least a pilot in the works. https://www.reddit.com/r/dropout/comments/1rk3qoc/dropout_filming_at_universal_studios_hollywood/
