not surprised they're doing one for Game Changer (they had one for Um, Actually for a few years now). just wondering how specifically it'll operate, given that the whole premise of the show is based on format variability. their FAQ mentions three different modes which i assume will have lot of variability within them, but i'm wondering how akin to - or different from - prior formats they'll actually be.

the Kickstarter model is probably a wise move for trial purposes, but i'm wondering how much demand there will be for them to sell via other retailers (which they explicitly said they're not planning at this time).

 

I have just a couple episodes left in S3 of Game Changer and boy am I tired of the remote episodes. They're all still entertaining, and I'm sure during COVID they were even better, but it's been rough by the end, I'm just ready for them to all be together and get more creative games again

 

it really is the biggest hump in watching the show. i will say there are a couple of episodes in season 4 that continue leaning into the sincere rather than mischievous (for important reasons), but for the most part, it's a return to form, and an improvement on the old format.

 

another hot take i have (spoilers for S4/S5) is that the Survivor format goes on too long and doesn't really do a ton for me (and they absolutely did not need to do it twice). there are definitely entertaining moments in both arcs that i enjoy (as usual, Vic carries a lot of the excitement for me), but i've never been a Survivor fan, so the format feels inherently less-exciting to me than when they lean into paying homage to other games show formats, or coming up with their own.

 

I'm watching the Make Some Noise with Wayne Brady, Ross and Rashawn... Wayne really is a national treasure, he's still so good

 

S4 of Game Changer starting off with a bang, Sam Says is so good

 

OMG I am dying at them bringing out Grants favorite porn star, he's so funny too!!

 

there are two sequels to this episode that are also fantastic (and one of these eventually connects directly to what many consider to be Game Changer's best episode, myself included).

 

they may or may not one-up this bit in the future

really excited for you to get to S6 and S7. some all-timers during those ones. and by the time you're finished, i expect you'll be caught up for S8 next month!

 

extremely likely. I'm going through Make Some Noise season 2 concurrently but much slower, I'l do like 3-5 GC and then a MSN and so on and so forth

 

showed my partner the Crowd Control episode of Game Changer/backdoor pilot of the main show tonight. watched episode 1 of the show proper as well. i know they're still working out some of the kinks with the format, but we had a great time with the actual show (and it was great to show him the Game Changer episode too)

 

The make some noise episode with Ben Lisa and Colton is so chaotic and great. Ben is a master at improv.
