FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Inevitability may be the most disappointing record I've ever heard from a band I loved. Hated it. Still did when I tried it recently.

Yeah it was a huge letdown to me as well. I adored writers reference

That's weird, Inevitability was pretty much a direct extension of the EP

Really? I don’t think they sound all that similar.

Same - I wanted to like it but it was (and is) just not my thing. I like AWR a lot but was really into their first record "Start Back at Start" which was all but wiped from the internet - maybe half the songs were on youtube - until I found this:

I remember I saw them just as AWR came out and someone yelled "Call all your reserves!" and Mike was like, nah you're never hearing that shit again.

Let's get these people moving faster!

There were a lot of bands of that period and ilk that tried to pivot from their sound and produced albums that really alienated a lot of their fans with the change. Along with Halifax, A Static Lullaby and Finch immediately come to mind - though personally I really liked Say Hello to Sunshine.
Maybe a strange comparison, but White Lies by lovehatehero feels like the superior version of Inevitability... Both turned down their emo leanings in favour of more technical guitar playing and straight-forward rock(?) sound, but White Lies was so much more fun and memorable (to me).

    D'oh! Prestigious

But SHTS and Faso Latido were both great! I actually listen to the former pretty often still, though it's true it took some time to get used to it, I think I had even written a quite bad review about Faso Latido for a Polish website I used to work for, but I was like 16/17 back then hahh. Halifax on the other hand just felt uninspired to me, but maybe I should revisit. I loved the fact that Jeff Soto provided the artwork for their album (same as for SHTS as well), and he was my favorite painter back then.

I don't disagree - I loved SHTS, and liked Faso Latido (though more had it just been from a different band than the one that released And Don't Forget to Breathe), and generally just found Inevitability to be boring. All felt like pretty big departure follow-ups at the time though.

That's a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?! Supporter

Has anyone heard anything, any sort of update, since this announcement was made. I _think_ I signed up for the newsletter correctly, but it's a terrible UI/UX design, IMO. It gives neither any feedback nor any acknowledgment/e-mail confirmation that you've successfully subscribed to their newsletter.

3 months later and nothing. Seems very strange/odd there have been no updates. Also not sure if it’s just me but does the website seem..off/shady I don’t know why but the website always seemed weird to me. Also I know many of the drive thru bands have had a weird relationship with the label but has any bands acknowledge this was happening? But also they could have been unaware I guess
