Early pressings of New Found Glory’s From the Screen to Your Stereo 2 were missing “The Promise.” An update from the label can be found below. They also mention an upcoming re-pressing of the From the Screen to Your Stereo as well. Hello, Stefanie, co-owner of Drive-Thru here, writing to you regarding the New Found Glory "From The Screen To Your Stereo Part 2" vinyl mishap. By now, I'm sure you're aware that "The Promise" (Feat. Chris Carrabba) is missing from the vinyl pressing. First of all, let me apologize...when we found out about this, we were horrified and immediately contacted Take This To Heart Records, who we have been working with on the vinyl repressing / re-releases of our catalog. We want to assure you that this was NOT an oversight by Drive-Thru or NFG, we do not get the test pressings, nor do we have anything to do with sending files to the plant. Take This To Heart has agreed to repress the vinyl in its entirety, and mail out the new record to anyone who purchased it. They will be in contact with you directly with a target ship date. For the record, they have been great to work with throughout our re-releases, they're big fans of the label so they know the catalog well, and this was just one mistake - everyone is human! To compensate additionally for this error, we are offering the opportunity to buy an exclusive color / limited edition pressing of FTSTYS Part 1. Before we put the vinyl online (date TBD), we will send an email out to everyone who purchased Part 2, and give you first dibs on ordering Part 1. Take This To Heart has tightened up their approval and communication process to ensure this never happens again. Our sincerest apologies, and thank you for your continued support of our bands and label! It means more than you know. xo, Stefanie P.S. Just wondering, do you miss me in The Black Dog when someone plays The Starting Line? more Not all embedded content is displayed here. Apologies?! These people get a collector’s item AND a new, limited pressing? This is the vinyl lottery
I bought a Hotelier 7 inch from a guy in a Facebook group that was cracked in half and all I got was blocked
One of my favorite NFG covers- would have been crushed, but then happy. They really took care of the problem.
my best friend asked me that question at work yesterday, whats the best song of stereo 2, i said that ,he said correct, we both laughed and carried on.
"The King of Wishful Thinking", "This Is Me", "Stay", "Iris", "Eye of the Tiger", "The Promise"...lots of good songs on the second and third EP's. I like the second most of all actually.
speaking of Drive-Thru, anyone know if there have been updates to the shipping date of the TEN represses? It's taking forever i feel like. I ordered For All of This, Acoustic EP and Mother on black friday last year.
I emailed them 3 days ago because I thought the same thing, at least it's not just me. This has me concerned with the above statement hahaha.
You get a second reply - They got back to my email today (after nagging them a few days) and they're shipping it out tomorrow for me now - I think you just gotta bug them but it seems like they have allotment left.
"We want to assure you that this was NOT an oversight by Drive-Thru or NFG, we do not get the test pressings" is wild to me. Why wouldn't you be doing QA as the label releasing this? Seems like they also dropped the ball but are trying to peg it all on Take This To Heart. Very Drive-Thru.
Because they're not the label releasing it. TTTH licensed the records and is the one doing everything. It's absolutely TTTH's fault here. And their lack of communication to anyone about all of it has disappointing. (See above about TEN albums too.)
About a year or two ago, I started making folders for every record I pre-order because I realized that the times on them change too much and I'd never notice that they were months behind their OG date (lots of companies). It's really irritating that I have to be the one to nag (store) over and over for them to magically remember "Oh yeah you bought this 9 months ago, yeah your order is sitting right here, it's going out now." If you had it ready for 9 months...Just throw it in the damn mail.
appreciate it. i'm so glad i asked. if i miss out on these, i'm going to be so pissed. i already had to bite the bullet on stuff from Bandbox, which I'm sure you heard went in the crapper.
