they are my favourite band forever but this DLID thing has been exhausting from the jump

 

I'm still not 100% sure what it is. I was under the impression DLID was their name before The 1975? Is it a totally separate thing?

 

It was yeah but a lot of fans still have a strong connection to the sound/songs they released under DLID so it has grown into its own separate project.

I imagine this will be more straight forward pop rock which I'm definitely here for.

 

I'm mostly curious to hear how different it'll be from The 1975 overall.

 

Don’t think it’ll be straight forward pop rock, if that’s what people are looking for. Atmospheric emo seems more the lane they’ll be in

 

I’d love to hear this song reinterpreted and reproduced up to their level now, in present day...

I want some shit that sounds like the EP version of Sex and that first version of Robbers. I remember that was like the first stuff I heard from them and was so excited for the debut thinking I was gonna get more of that sound lol.
