Probably gonna have to go to that Columbus show. If I do I will be seeing Drake/Future and Paul Mccartney within a week of each other. Blessed.
"one dance" jumped from #13 to #3, he might have a future #1 on his hands if he can jump that lukas graham song and "panda" slips
If the video's meme-able enough and released at the right time, he's got a chance for "One Dance". However, that might be really difficult once VIEWS drops and people move on to streaming other songs.
people will be streaming views enough that theyll basically be extra streams to one dance's current numbers, its only gonna go up pandas numbers, on the other hand, are insane because like almost half of the points used to get it to #1 are from non-vevo youtube videos. thats ridiculous and unprecedented i think
Album cover thoughts: 1) Head in the clouds two albums in a row. 2) I haven't liked his cover art since So Far Gone. 3) This is going to be meme'd to death, which is literally the only thing he cared about.
We'll see! I thought about that, but I wasn't sure how often that's actually the case. Would love to see some numbers to back your statement up.
i mean just think about how high songs charted from IYRT last year, those numbers are gonna be huge in addition to airplay and stuff
he was all over the hot 100 in the aftermath of the release whether it was that week or a couple months later. i think most of WATTBA hit hot 100 either first week or within a couple too. digital dash peaked at 62 after two weeks when it entered at 81. he'll be all over the charts after the album drops.
Oh, I completely agree! But that's not really interesting to me because his hype/name recognition/whatever ensures that people will check it out. I'm mainly interested in two things business-wise about this album: 1. How "global" his sound gets and how that affects his chart position in overseas markets. (Feels like we've been predicting grime/dancehall heavy sounds for like 2 years.) 2. Can he get a solo number 1, and what tactic he'll use to get it. (My preferred one would be to write a song so good that it just becomes a #1 hit, but that doesn't really seem like how it works now.)
I don't like Future very much but I really want to see Drake so I'll go I selfishly hope Future doesn't play that long but I know he has a ton of fans
Considering its billed as Drake x Future and not Drake with support from future I think you're going to deal
