The best songs are "Feel No Ways", "Weston Road Flows", "Redemption", "Faithful", "One Dance", "Too Good" and "Fire & Desire". Unfortunately, I feel like these songs pale in comparison to the best songs on Take Care and Nothing Was the Same. Edit: Now that I think about it, I would probably even take "Know Yourself", "10 Bands" and "Jungle" over any song on this album lol
I like a lot of the beats, great use of synth bass throughout. It feels dope. But overall pretty bland.
We're living in a world where Weezer is only .6 away from Drake and is probably the better album. Damn
The spirit of Absolutepunk lives on every time someone mentions a mediocre "punk" band on a completely unrelated thread
Redemption, With You, Faithful, Grammys are the only songs I'm not all that into right now. That's still 15 tracks I dig, plus Hotline, so I can't complain
IYRTITL and Views seem like companions to each other, showcasing his two sides seprately in their own album. Curious how 1 album with the best from both would have ended up
I think I like this more than most of the people on this site do. The flows and lyrics anytime he's rapping tend to be sub par on here more than any other project, but other than that the songs themselves are very good to great, despite being rather scatterbrained a lot of the time. Would probably give this more like a 7.5 out of ten and right in front of Thank Me Later if I were to rank them, with TML being last. I think IYRT is better than this but not by much.
Much of why Views feels stale is because of Drake’s continued obsession with his own fragile masculinity. Guess that line sums up my feelings on Drake in general.
Yeah, it doesn't matter. It's interesting to see the weird dropoff happening with this record as opposed to IYRTITL or WATTBA, but so be it. This album is much better than those two
Yeah makes sense. He can definitiely hang his hat on all the sales and big tours. You have to think he'll see some of the negativety though, just interested if he'll acknowledge it or keep doing what he is doing.
