Love how you basically could tell Too Good was gonna be a killer after the first 10 seconds

I guess I don't feel Take Care here at all, except maybe 2-3 tracks pulled from it, but overall this is it's own beast completley

Not sure if I am the only one, but I'm keeping Hotline as it's own thing, not part of the album

 

Drake hasn't ever really clicked with me before (though I'll admit I've never taken too deep of a dive into his stuff) but I'm really feeling a lot of this. Maybe I should revisit some of his past work.

I'm on track 4. First few songs have been okay, nothing has blown me away so far

 

Oh dang. For some reason I bought into this potentially being bad. This is good news.

 

My first impression is that this is okay. Nothing really stood out. Definitely the most lukewarm reaction I've ever had listening to a Drake album for the first time. Really hoping this grows on me.

Take Care is one of my favourite albums ever so I guess Drake has a lot to live up to for me, haha.

I've really enjoyed the album, but nothing has stood out yet as a banger.

 

On my 2nd listen now and this is already growing on me lol.

 

I'm in the same boat, he's just never clicked with me, but I am enjoying this.
The tracks are a nice chill listen, and the production is top dollar.

 

"Weston Road Flows", damn this is good stuff. Hit repeat as soon as it ended

The Partynextdoor feature on this is actually pretty good. I remember listening to one of his albums and thinking it was really bad, so maybe I should give it another go

 

This line is borderline criminal lol

 

PND has like four songs that are worth listening to and one of them is "Wednesday night interlude"

 

I've gotta admit that whenever I listen to If You're Reading This It's Too Late, I always skip the Partynextdoor tracks. I'll check "Wednesday Night Interlude" out again though

 

That first song is pretty bad. I'm let down, I usually love his openers

 

Idk if I'm just hearing more of them on first passes or what but a lot of these one liners are complete clunkers.

The sound direction and production is pretty impeccable.

 

I'd say Childs Play is the banger

 

Feel No Ways is the first good song. Can't see myself returning to the first 3. End of U With Me is good, though. Hype is fun, Weston is the best track on the tape so far
