He repeats that line way too many times - and when he isn't repeating that line he's just saying other words in the same exact melody. Worst part of the entire album for me. I don't think I'll ever listen to that song all the way through for the rest of my life.
It's just another time where I wish it was an all-Drake song, or that it was relegated to WATTBA haha
I don't think he really "took him off" - I think this was always the one that was going to be on the record and the Jay/Ye version was just released separately because of that.
Yeah whoops meant Pop Style But damn that's disappointing, does it get better than Drake's verse that was on the Throne version? His verse was not very good on it
I enjoyed this. Personally, I think it might be a grower because I thought it lacked some of the energy of NWTS (outside of the singles, title track and a few other highights), but that album is also hugely important to me and there was nothing here I really disliked. Wasn't really feeling the PartyNextDoor track or "Controlla," but yeah, this was an interesting listen. Way moodier than I was expecting. Everything after "Controlla" is basically lit
This Is definitely a grower. Only up to Redemption, but I'm enjoying it more than NWTS on first listen
First impressions are that this is better than NWTS and I could see this someday challenging Take Care for my favorite Drizzy record
If it wants to overtake that some of these melodies have to be a little stronger, or he has to have some more catchy/hard hitting lines and moments
