Summer Games is unreal.

 

I'm going to the first Toronto show tomorrow and I'm honestly dreading it. I would sell my ticket if I wasn't taking my little sister to the show. When I initially got my tickets I was so excited to finally be seeing him again, but then the album came out and the setlist for this tour popped up and my excitement completely deflated. The setlist is so junk. 2-4 songs each from TC, NWTS, IYRTITL, ML, and the choices are bunk. I haven't seen him in 4 years, and I probably privilege IYRTITL above all his releases, so I was really excited to finally see some of these tracks. I'm holding out hope that maybe he has something special planned for Toronto (some deeper cuts, a great special guest) but I'm not counting on it at this point.

I know this is really privileged whining, but the last two times I saw him, especially the very first time at OVO 2013, were so special.

 

I feel this. I was going back and forth so many times on if I should keep my ticket for last night in Chicago. Ended up seeping with a huge sense of relief. I saw all my friend's pics and knew I could been front row with him, but I didn't even care.

 

There's definitely some stuff I am excited to see (Versace w/ Migos, My Way, the two IYRTITL tracks, a handful of Scorpion tracks), but I just can't get over how a 40+ song setlist is so poor. I'm very curious to see the general reaction/if he can keep the vibe up with the less interesting Scorpion songs.

I saw this morning lol. Dude is doing his city wrong. First OVO Fest goes away without any notice, then the beginning of the tour is pushed back, and now this.

Saves me a bit of hassle today though.

 

People are speculating they cancelled to go to the VMAs lmao

 

That’d be the worst reason to postpone a show lmao.

 

Nah, the VMAs are still big for artists and visibility, it'd be a smart move to go to the VMAs instead of having a show

 

yeah but then don't schedule a show date on the VMA date, especially in your hometown.

it's like me making plans to hang out with steve, but then swae lee comes along and asks me to hang out and i like him more than steve so i cancel my plans with steve.

Yeah I waved to Steve at the Charli show. Probably as close as I'll ever get to hanging out with him.

 

I'd agree to hang out with all y'all and then probably bail over the social anxiety of meeting someone irl

but that doesn't mean I love you any less

 

We'd all have fun at a Chorus in real life party

 

Quavo and Offset were at the VMAs but Drake wasn't

 

So apparently he skipped the VMAs to visit a child getting heart surgery.

I saw this on reddit and I’m very cynical so if someone can say this is true and not a quick pr stunt to gain some goodwill please lmk
