Would absolutely disagree on That's How You Feel. On In My Feelings, i get it but it uses the same sound that's at the start of Nice For What so that's why, don't get the same buzz from that beat at all.
Just finished a second listen. I'm actually really enjoying this, so much more than Views or More Life. Still some duds on here, but I can whittle this down to a solid 16 track album.
Craig Jenkins described "In My Feelings" as the "God's Plan" flow over the "Nice For What Beat" and now I can't unhear it. One of the six tracks I'd cut tbh
finished the first half and the songs I liked were: Survival, Emotionless, Gods Plan, 8 out of 10 and Sandra's Rose. I would love that song with Jay but he had to go and give the trash person a shout out.
i kind of hate this. it's not bad, and there are some pretty good songs, but there really is no reason for it to be this long other than to affect streaming numbers. he tries very, very, very few new things here. sorry i guess the way drake releases music isn't the way i consume music
Is it even worth sitting through the whole thing just to end up saying “yeah this was nice but I’m never going to listen to it as a whole again” FOH 25 songs
I'm generally pretty into this whole album, but it's just sooo much to take in at once. I think once people can digest it more, they'll come around to a lot of it. Highlights for me so far (ignoring previously released songs): Summer Games, Emotionless, 8 out of 10. Worst song: Ratchet Happy Birthday
Yeah, I actually enjoy this a ton. Only song that's outright bad is Ratchet Happy Birthday (maybe actually the worst song on any of his albums). Side A is super consistent and cohesive, and Side B has some weird shit but almost all of it works for me It might also just be me but I don't think this feels its length at all, I never really got bored
Yeah, I still haven’t finished this but so far Nice For What is the ONLY song I’d put on par with his best past songs. Very let down.
Honestly if you turned this into a single album of 10-12 songs, it would be his best release since If You’re Reading This. There’s some gems here, you just have to sift through a lot of mediocre shit too.
