what the fck is summer games


finally something completely surprising and unexpected happened on this album. shouldn't have taken until disc 2.

 

10 tracks in and there have been some nice instrumentals but he’s not doing anything interesting on these tracks. God’s Plan is the best one so far by a mile

 

The production I will say on this album is stellar

 

Summer Games is dope, but can someone fill me in on who its about?

 

I miss Drake biting grime and dancehall and afrobeats

 

finesse is....not good

 

Yeah there are some great beats and he’s just kinda doing whatever on them. A lot of boring shit.

Disc two is so weird

 

has he used this much autotune since thank me later? its honestly distracting with his voice

I really like Don’t Matter To Me but the MJ thing..

 

these songs aren't nearly, nearly good enough to justify the length of this. double album or not there's barely a good album here in total.

o shit sounds almost as if having 25 songs dragged the whole of the album down

 

There’s like 4 or 5 that I like a lot. That’s about it

 

Nice For What is still amazing and sticks out like a sore thumb in this sequencing between Jaded and Finesse

 

He will never top the holy trinity of Take Care, Nothing Was the Same and If You're Reading This It's Too Late

 

I think he knows he can just shit out an album and it’ll get a billion+ streams

 

First disc is a mood. Production is tight, Drake rides a lot of it safely. Back half gets pretty good.

Disc two is all over the place. Every other song is so strange. Very little holding it together. However, the songs themselves are mostly the bops. I think March 14 is fantastic.
