Drake and the 20-track Views basically pioneered the extra-long, bonus-track-having, streaming-tailored rap album format we have today so I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up being a double album
It’s weird 2018 is all about projects that are too short or projects that are too long Either way I agree with the sentiment that at this point Drake doesn’t really make cohesive projects anymore so the more joints the better.
Even if there's more bops I still really appreciate the value of a finely crafted album so I hope it would be more all killer no filler. Unless he can make a long album that feels like it has no filler which by all means I would be down for. I'm just not sure based on Views that he can.
Out of the loop, what is this apparently in reference to? Too bad he is beefing with Kanye- Drake could have a really good 7 track album.
take care is his only good album imo. i love nice for what and i really hope this album IS cohesive and not overlong. not getting my hopes up though.
Take Care-NWTS-IYRTITL run is impeccable, including loosies. The Motion is the essential Drake track.
I actually fully agree, IYRTITL is hella overrated but Take Care and NWTS are amazing Drake could actually pull off a double album if one side was R&B and one side was rap I think
Take Care has some of his best ever but also a lot of fat NWTS is best, easily IYRT has “Jungle” and that’s pretty much the only song I remember, but it’s maybe my favorite Drake song
So Far Gone is the best Drake release. It was the first and only time I was able to see what others apparently see in him, in terms of full-lengths at least. The Best I Ever Had Remix is also my favorite Drake song I think.
Man I still really dig IYRT After that is where he kind of dropped off for me, and a potential double album doesn't sound appealing. But hopefully I'm wrong.
