The delivery of “Check signing is my kink pushing out ink I feel like a squiiiid” has been rattling around my head for three days
i saw someone say something to the effect that a lot of these songs have parts that sound really interesting in short clips but the larger context is almost universally uninteresting and boring and i’d have to agree with that one. the album equivalent of clip farming streamers
I got to hear this in my car, loud, driving around the city, with the windows down and the first half of this album bangs, falls off in the second half
After a few repeat listens now I really enjoy Iceman, the first 7 are all really strong and 1-5 all have heavy replay value for me. I cannot imagine being bored by that first half, but I understand people just do not like Drake as an entity so that is fine. burning bridges is fun as an interlude, then national treasures is really good Slips a little with B’s on the table although I like the second half of that track 2 Hard 4 the Radio is just fun I like it Also have been enjoying little birdie quite a bit last three are okay, firm friends in a silo is a great rap drake style track but it feels duplicative at that slot in the tracklist Other two records im treating as bonus, could have combined those two into what would have been a super fun club/RnB drake album with like hoe phase Cheetah print Which one True bestie Goose and the juice WNBA Slap the city Gen 5 Whitebone but whatever i guess he needed to give them three projects, i will make a playlist
it takes a certain kind of person to have their mom on their album cover, then start that album with a song called Hoe Phase
Theres a good amount of songs off Iceman i'll be playing all summer. The other 2 albums i'm never touching ever again truly terrible
