Since it's as standardized testing day I have time to listen to the other two. What the hell is going on on Rusty Intro
Yeah this one stinks. Real slog to get through, feels 10 times longer than Iceman. I am taking a Drake break to listen to the new Naomi Scott sophistipop album
Maid of Honor at least has some life in it compared to the last one. "Hoe Phase" on an album with your mom on the cover is a little crazy but I don't hate the song.
Okay I made it through all three. I will never listen to anything off of Habibti again outside of the opener. Just a nothing record, waste of my time. Iceman is too much of a good thing. Beats are good, he has some classic corny Drake lines, but you get tired of it after a while. The middle section of that record is the highlight. Idk how I feel about Maid of Honour. It probably has the most tracks that I paid attention to. My head hurts a bit after it. The highs of Iceman and MoH (and Rusty Intro) are the best Drake music since Views, imo. Not a high bar. I don't think any of these are "good" albums and they suffer from how long they are, like most modern albums. I don't really see any hits here and from the general reaction of the school I don't know if the kids really care about Drake anymore. We will see.
Can't believe he did an Honestly Nevermind 2, I don't think I have the strength to go through it this time
Think National Treasures will be a big one, could see 2 Hard 4 The Radio being a hit I am having a hard time on re-listen getting past this one, keep hitting restart
am i crazy thinking that looks like the michael jackson glove or is my mind trying to make that connection for obvious reasons
Definitely the most I've enjoyed anything from him in ages. Iceman is great. Habbiti is ok. It has some of those touches that you'd expect and I enjoy hearing the Find Your Love sample on one of the songs. Not done with Maid of Honour yet but I think its probably the most interesting musically. I actually think the way he's presented this is much more palatable than previous efforts and maybe that has helped. It's definitely a way to get out of his label deal though because he's constantly talking about it on Iceman
