I think this is the most rational take. He COULD come through with a project that is great, but the last decade has been inconsistent at best. I am a fan, loved his earlier work, but haven’t been able to grab onto most of his stuff since if you’re reading this (though I am a honestly nevermind truther). I’ll def be listening just for the drama of it all alone, but don’t have high expectations. I know he won’t do this but I just want a fucking 11-12 song, banger fest
If he brings the same energy he did to the Kendrick beef tracks, there is potential. If he sleepwalks through 30 bland tracks, then who cares
Yeah lost a little bit of steam but overall his best work in some time, very interested to hear the rest
On first listen maybe two tracks on Iceman I would consider filler ish, rest were really strong second two albums are pretty reasonable tracklists, looking forward to hearing the rest
I’m very down to take them one at a time if they have different moods. If it’s just a novel way to package 40 songs, I don’t see it working for me personally.
