He really means it when he says he's holding a grudge against Pusha and Kanye until he's 75 lmao

I thought him and Kanye made up and did a concert together?

“Linking with the opps, bitch, I did that shit for J. Prince” - a Drake lyric allegedly about that concert

23 songs. Fuck that, I’ll go back to Joey Valance & Brae instead until a consensus is made about which songs are actually good.

Way I would sum this up so far is, its a variety of Drake sounds with new sounding production/producers, which kind of makes it a playlist more than an album. Probably would have sequenced this different but I have that complaint about damn near every mainstream rap album in the past five years. The production list on this is insane to me. The song with J. Cole has like my dream team of producers in BNYX, Tay Keith, Boi-1da, FNZ, and OZ all on the same song.

On a different note, I need to here more of Lil' Yachty production from his work on this and that last song he did with J. Cole that had everyone thinking it was an Alchemist beat, I have been really impressed by him.

On some level, I like that he tries different sounds but its makes a really disjointed album. The run of songs between the two interludes is great to me though. Love that Teezo is on this as well. I would have never thought that Yachty would have this much of an influence on Drake, I did not see that happening.

This is much closer to CLB for me. I didn’t care for CLB, nothing was that memorable and Drake sounds bored and uninspired. Some good production but generally not into it. Her loss and Honestly nevermind picked me back up into him but this would check me back out

There’s just an earnestness that his early stuff had that made him interesting and different at the time that has been completely absent for a long time.
It’s a shame but I guess you can’t really remain that person after a decade of being the biggest artist in the genre and becoming extravagantly wealthy

Views, Scorpion, More Life feels like an era that was the in between from when he was his to when he got lazy and boring. Those are all very mixed bags but at least had enough gems and he at least sounded like he cared. Everything after that has been terrible and lifeless

I enjoyed Honestly Nevermind and Her Loss in part because they were more concise records that felt like actual albums. CLB and this new one are more like a random collection of songs/playlists

I just think both those are bad albums because the songs are all very very bad
