Andre might be one of the most effortlessly talented artists alive. It sucks that he doesn’t enjoy doing it any more, but always great when he does these things as favors.

 

one of the best Andre verses of all time was on a really mediocre TI album like 7 or 8 years ago. It’s astonishing when he does pop up but you never know when or where it’ll be and you might miss it if you, rightfully, didn’t give a shit about TI in 2012

 

40 regarding the R Kelly thing

 

Wow, that 3000 verse is beautiful. I understand the reason it was removed from Donda (not a clean song, Andre didn't want his stuff censored) but it would've been a shame if this verse was just kept buried. Kanye's verse is ok, but barely relates thematically to what Andre was saying. But then it ends with that recording of DMX with his kids and I fall back in love with the song.

So I guess thanks Drake for leaking this lol. Not sure how he thought this was a power move.

 

Yeah, no way you can censor that Andre verse without taking some impact away from it. Just take out Kanye’s weirdly bitter parts and keep the DMX ending and it’s great. Glad it didn’t totally go to waste.

 

I want to hear the original Kanye verse though because everyone raved about it on twitter when he played it in Vegas.

Dj Akademiks said Drake was stupid for leaking it because nearly everyone including himself thinks the song is better than nearly every song off his album

 

That spoken word part in the beginning is so unnecessary though. Just cut the first minute off the song and replace it on streaming platforms. Keeping it the way it is after all the backlash is a bad look.

 

The Andre verse alone is better than anything on Donda

 

It’s better than anything on this album, the fivio verse on off the grid also is better than anything on this too.

holy shit, I just right now remembered that he released an entire album after Carter V, completely passed by my memory. Looking back, I think there's some worthwhile stuff on Funeral? But again.... standard version is 24 tracks and the deluxe adds another 8.... yeesh
