Yeah it's gonna be everywhere the same day. I'm not sure he said it would be apple exclusive this time around, did he?
Yeah I just looked and looks like they reported it today... interesting though considering I thought his Apple deal was pretty long-term.
its prob called a playlist because calling stuff thats available on paid streaming services mixtapes is some wack shit even tho drake did it himself in 2015 lol
I was honestly thinking that maybe the technicality of not calling it an "album" allowed him to exempt it from his Apple exclusivity deal, but who knows really
Yea I definitely think it's an excuse to not be cohesive more than anything else. Also he's trying to start a trend in typical Drake fashion
Is it a hot take to say If You're Reading This is top 3 Drake project? Cause I love it so much. On some days it would maybe even top NWTS as my number 2. Take Care the goat though.
I would say that's a pretty hot take haha. You initiated this 1. Take Care 2. So Far Gone 3. Nothing Was The Same 4. Comeback Season 5. IYRTITL 6. Thank Me Later 7. Views
I was thinking he wanted the bigger audience right off the bat, but tbh he'd probably make more from Apple's deal than from the added streams/purchases elsewhere so yeah I'm probably wrong lol
Seems very unlike Drake to lose a day and a half of first week sales by releasing this on a Saturday too, was very surprised by that.
listen, if we're gonna rank drake projects let me step in take care so far gone nothing was the same if youre reading this thank me later comeback season room for improvement views
I don't think it's that hot of a take because Take Care and NWTS are the only projects I enjoy as a whole, which I guess makes that a hotter take
So Far Gone is still my favorite. His loosie run in 08-09 skyrocketed him to Wayne levels of attention. Debut was super bland. Obviously he got his shit together on the next few, but I've never been as hype on him as I was when he was still struggling for fame. Last few tapes have bangers and he has an ear for a pop hit, but the albums as a whole are bloated
Don't think I've ever been as let down by an album as I was when I heard Views. The hype for it was just unreal, and while my expectations were too high, the album itself was just bad.
