I think the most confusing part is if this is a playlist like I've seen people mention or an album.

 

he keeps saying it's a playlist, and somewhere there is an explanation of why he calls it that. I think maybe because it's a bunch of tracks that will stream in a playlist together, but not released as an album? Fuck if I know, it's all weird

 

I believe he's calling it a playlist because it's essentially a mixtape but if he sells it, people will say it's not a mixtape

It's an album in that it's a collection of new (mostly) Drake songs,
It's a playlist in that Drake is an apple company man and trying to re-brand the idea of an album just screams apple.
