I'm referring more to the specific episode about to happen in the sub where Tenshinhan is the focus. I believe he does appear in the Golden Freeza arc.
This arc feels like so much fan service but I don't care. It's awesome that they are making Goku basically stop by and catch up with every one of his allies and giving each of them an episode or so in the spotlight. I'm 100% sure they got Gohan back into his "Ultimate" form just because fans have asked for it for so long, but I'm totally on board.
I still think Super as a whole has been pretty fantastic, I've enjoyed just about every ep outside of the movie arcs. It is definitely fan service... but I'm a fan, so it works haha. I will say that I'm ready for the tournament to actually start, hoping it will within the next few eps.
I think I'm going to just go with the manga instead. The art looks a lot better and I've heard the writings more solid too.
I've been watching the dubs week to week and have been loving it. Only the second episode into the Golden Freiza arc currently. Real excited for what is to come after, since I've already seen the movie.
Anyone see the spoiler of the character that ends up as the actual 10th fighter for universe 7 after one of the fighters can't fight? It's freaking Frieza
This is just a 4chan rumor at this point, no image/source, just someone posting that title as text. We will know for sure by Wednesday
From the current standpoint, I can't even wrap my head around how they would write that in. I mean...why would he even help unless Beerus promised him something crazy? But then what do the heros do if he's allowed to come back?
Maybe they'll tell him he gets his life back if he helps? Either that or he gets wiped from existence along with the rest of the universe.
I'd like to see it, because why not. I would need a bonafide great reason for it, though. I think a cool twist would be he tries to throw the fight and lose that way Universe 7 gets wiped out, meaning he gets to get finish wiping out the Saiyans as well as ending his eternal torture by cuteness in hell. Bringing them back in a permanent capacity would be so boneheaded, though.
I agree with no more Freiza. Might be a fun twist to the arc, but come on, it's played out. Came back as Mecha Frieza and got killed by Trunks. Rebelled in hell with Cell in a filler scene and got beaten by Pikkon. Resurrected in the Janemba movie and got killed by Gohan. Resurrected in GT and got frozen by Goku. Resurrected in Super in an arc AND a movie. Not to mention we've had two Cooler movies and gotten a Universe 6 counterpart in Frost in Super.
In case anyone was wondering. The summaries confirm the rumor is true and that Buu is the one can't participate and Goku asks Fortuneteller Baba to resurrect Frieza for 24 hours
Wow. Very surprised. I'll give it a fair chance, but if Frieza doesn't try to murder Goku & co. or retreat to Universe 6 with Frost or something equally maniacal it'll be the worst thing the series has done.
I'm kinda bummed about the character that can't fight because I wanted to see more of the new look he had. As for the replacement, I think Toriyama is just fond of the character and doesn't want to let him go.
I guess I have to see how it plays out in order to see how feasible it is, but I don't know why he would have any reason to 1) help them 2) not sabotage them especially if it's temporary 3) use it as an opportunity to off Goku. Very strange choice but it could be interesting.
I guess another possibility is that he totally wants to wreak havoc, but sees Zeno overseeing the tourney and is finally intimidated enough by someone to play nice. Imagine if Frieza's new hell is being Zeno's personal friend to play with for the rest of his days like Zeno mentioned wanting when Goku first met him?
ALSO we are forgetting that Goku has not been truthful to anyone about the reason the tournament is happening. He is still saying it's for prize money, so maybe he dangles a similar carrot like a false promise of immortality in the event of a victory haha
Yeah see that's the kind of thing I'm waiting to see before I give my thumbs down lol or he could do it with the intention of backstabbing Goku but is knocked out before he gets the chance. I do think it would be funny to have him be Zeno's slave at the end. Side note - Is the "no killing" rule still in effect for this tourney just like the exhibition match? If so, I feel like that limits his abilities quite a bit considering his main technique is kamikaze haha.
It is indeed. I don't know if Frieza has ever fought anyone in his life without the sole intention of killing them lol. That would be another out for them: he can't stop himself, murders an opponent, and Zeno deletes him. I'm excited. It could suck but idk I love DB too much to assess it all that critically. Still just glad it's back at all
When people talk about DB villains, they forget too often that Piccolo Daimao FUCKING KILLED SHENLONG.
Frieza being in on the U7 team is growing on me. I want to see how he interacts with the other members.
