Big news just leaked for the 40th anniversary. Good and bad. Apparently the manga will start again in January which is good. The Super anime is also being remade in a more condensed version, similar to dbz kai, with better animation. That’s good, but the bad is that for the Moro arc and after we’ll still have to wait years to see that in the anime or be in any of the video games. As for Daima, apparently there won’t be a season 2 and will instead be a movie
I've heard rumors about the Super anime remake for a while. I just don't know that I care, unless the animation looks significantly better and the dub and story is closer to the manga - like a full remake. Even then... Meh. Really wish the anime would continue to the Moro arc and on. The manga coming back is exciting, and I'll gladly take a Daima S2 movie. Although idk what it could be about? They're all adults again
I would like to see another story in Daima bridge it to the beginning of Super and explain why SS4 is forgotten about in Super. Maybe bring someone in like Janemba to be canon as well
I guess I just assumed SS4 was only possible in the demon realm through the help of Neva's powers, I just don't know that we need more explanation than that, but I am curious where things go
That’s what I thought they would explain in the show but then Goku talked like he trained and was aware of it to Vegeta in the last episode. It’s confusing
I'll be curious in the movie if they make any attempt at even connecting it to Super at all or if they go even further in the direction of making them two separate "splits" from DBZ. I liked the idea of the lore of both DAIMA and Super being canon but the stories themselves being separate.
Man I love how much Popo trolls Goku when he first shows up to Kami's lol. DBZA's characterization of him makes much more sense when you've watched OG Dragon ball. "Oh, got you again. After being annoyed by Hulu randomly throwing in censored Nicktoons episodes from DBZ Kai, I found a fan edit called Dragon Ball Kai Recut that cuts even *more* filler, especially in the Buu arc that they really didn't touch much in the original version of Kai. Interested to see how it is, I've read good things about it. I wouldn't recommend a fan edit for a first time watcher, but I've already seen DBZ a million times lol
Is there even a lot of filler to cut from the Buu saga? The only thing that comes to mind is when Kid Buu is fighting other people in the after life before fighting Goku and Vegeta

Been like six years of rumors of this happening but glad we are finally officially continuing the anime. Haha. This arc is a bit convoluted but it’s going to be killer in animated form, especially the part where everyone else gets time to shine.
Why are they remaking the Beerus arc? Was it bad? I only watched Super once so I don’t really remember.

The remake animation looks exactly like Daima so I support it. It has the same logo as the Moro arc so I’m assuming the same animation will also be for that arc as well. We’re eating good Beerus will be 6 episodes and Resurrection F will follow. I assume the rest of super will follow as well. They also said it’s closer to Toriyama’s original draft while also containing original content. Hopefully they bridge it to Daima and have SS4 Goku fight Beerus. Let everything flow seamlessly. This will launch this fall and with the Moro arc being announced to just now start production I imagine the Moro arc will air after the super remake.
