Not sure if it’s in the manga, but fairly certain the anime says Vegeta never bothered with SSJ3 because the transformation used up so much energy.
I thought Chow Yun-Fat was decent casting for Roshi. He could have pulled off the mannerisms well, but what he was given to work with was pure ass.
The two Vegeta gags at the end of the finale were great. Him calling SS3 “Ultra Vegeta 1” was a great meta joke, but then Panzy grabbing his arm and forcing him to wave goodbye got an audible laugh out of me.
Dunno what the hell is going on with Hulu, but the English subtitles are not showing up on my phone, android TV, and LG TV right now
Heh not worth adding yet another streaming service to my monthly bills Might sail the high seas and watch it through Plex though
Forgot the funniest moment to me was when the eye got stepped on and it was like the smallest little squish.
This was aired on CrunchyRoll in the US? lol I’d be very tempted to just pirate it if I was forced to create a CrunchyRoll account
I watched the whole thing on Hulu and it was buggy for me a few times as well. Never mind the fact that it spoiled multiple huge things for me in the thumbnail for each episode lol
Now that the whole show is out, you could just do a free trial and then cancel. $8 a month is probably my cheapest streamer sub. Obviously, do what you want to. It just came across as there was some strong reason you refused it. Perhaps I read too much into your post.
Just my opinion, but I’d be fine with Daima being the last Dragon Ball anime we get. It came full circle.
I made a Lapis & Lazuli joke to my friends a few days ago after seeing Mickey 17 (prominently features characters identified as 17 and 18), and they had no idea what I was talking about lol. I know they aren’t acknowledged in the anime, but it made me wonder - for the folks here that have read the manga, are they mentioned there? Or the stuff about 16’s backstory? I have all of that lore stored in my brain and have no idea where it came from
Sorta, yeah. More meant their history, how they came into contact with Gero and became androids, and how 16 is supposed to be his son. All of that info is out there to be found but wasn’t sure if it was ever actually canonicalized in print
Having a fun time rewatching through DBZ Kai on Hulu rn. Just got to Gohan vs Gotenks/Piccolo absorbed Buu. I feel like the Buu arc is a bit less popular, but it's always been one of my favorites. A lot of silliness similar to original DB. I actually love all the Saiyaman, Gohan in high school stuff. And in terms of new characters, Videl is so much better than Goten and kid Trunks. I will say that Gotenks is so damn annoying. Absolutely couldn't stand his and kid Trunk's obsession with "looking cool" to put the world at risk fighting Buu. Anyways... probably going to check out Super after all of this. Not sure how great it is. I heard they really downgraded Goku's intelligence and changed Videl's character a lot, so, idk. Guess I'll see.
Haha I heard that Goku at some point says he doesn't know what a kiss is in Super? Like... Cmon that's a little much lmao
